Doomsday Diner Updates: Launch Status & How We Track Patches

Doomsday Diner released on July 23, 2026 and is in its launch window. This page is a snapshot of where the game stands, plus the exact process this wiki uses to stay accurate when patches land. We link to official announcements rather than republishing patch notes.

• Released July 23, 2026 on Steam for Windows at $9.99 (US), with an introductory discount running to August 6, 2026.
• The developer posts announcements in the Steam Events & Announcements feed — that feed, not this page, is the authoritative patch record. Several posts existed there in the launch week; we haven't transcribed them individually.

What we re-verify after each patch

Game updates can silently invalidate wiki facts. When an official announcement lands, we re-check, in priority order:

1. Achievement list — count, names, and published descriptions (new or revealed achievements are common in patches).
2. System requirements — developers do revise these; ours are dated for exactly this reason.
3. Price, discount, and platform facts on release date and the FAQ, including any new Steam Deck rating.
4. Mechanics claims in the gameplay overview and the three system guides.

Every factual page carries a verification ticket with its own last-verified date, so you never have to wonder whether a page predates a patch. The rules behind this process live in the editorial policy.

Coming when the evidence does Needs release-build verification

Recipes, upgrade lists with costs and effects, hidden achievement conditions, and map/ending details all require release-build verification with stored evidence before we publish them. We'd rather ship a smaller wiki than a wrong one. When those sections open, they'll be announced here.
